I Feed People

One nice thing about living a lot of years is that hopefully you figure out what you’re good at and what you are not so good at.

A dear friend is moving away and while I would love to help her pack, I am no good!

I pretty much end up in the middle of the room, staring and yawning, so overwhelmed, looking at the empty boxes, the mountains of stuff, the empty boxes, the mountains of stuff…anyway, I’m no good at packing.

But I am so happy to feed the packers!! Oh yeah!

So in a while I will head out with some Texas Caesar Salad, and Strawberry Pie!

Strawberry Pie is one of my all time favorite summer desserts!

I make an easy no-fail pie-crust and hope to share it soon, but for now here is the recipe for the Strawberry Pie!

Strawberry Pie

1 cup sugar
3 tablespoons strawberry jello
3 tablespoons cornstarch
1 cup water
1 pint fresh strawberries

Slice strawberries in cooked pie shell. Boil sugar, cornstarch, water and jello three minutes. Let cook and pour over strawberries. Chill in refrigerator for at least 2 hours. Serve with whipped cream.

Kaye, I am still here reading each and every one of your posts……you are such a magical, loving person and I do thank God for the time that I had you close to me! (And now I’m thinking that I may love Ricky almost as much as I love you!) Your blog is still one of my favorite places to be!
